F-1으로 입국한 유학생들은 새로 입학하는 경우는 물론 학기를 계속하고 있는 경우도 다음 사항을 꼭 기억해서 I-20를 합법적으로 유지하시기 바랍니다.
ØF-1 students must be enrolled full time for the fall/spring semester.
F-1 학생들은 매 학기 full time으로 등록해야 합니다.
The Department of Homeland Security expects colleges to report any student who has not registered full time and terminate their I-20. If you are not registered full time your I-20 may be terminated without any additional warning from the college.
Fi 학생이 Full time으로 등록하지 않은 경우 I-20가 Terminate되며, 학교는 DHS에 학생의 변동사항을 보고해야 합니다. Full time으로 등록을 하지 않아 I-20가 Terminate 되면 합법 체류 신분이 아니게 되므로 유의하시기 바랍니다.
ØStudents in the last semester of the degree program may take less than 12 credits. International student advisors will be checking the Degree Progress Report to confirm that this is your final semester and giving authorization.
진행 과정의 마지막 학기인 경우 학교 어드바이저와 확인 후 12학점 이하로 신청할 수 있습니다.
ØProfessors have been instructed to drop any students who are not attending classes. The professors may or may not try to contact you before dropping you from classes. If you are registered for a class, it is your responsibility to make sure that you are not dropped from the class.
수업에 참가하지 않을 경우, 해당 교수님이 학생의 수업을 drop시킬 수 있으며, drop이 되어 학점을 유지할 수 없는 경우도 있으므로 유의하시기 바랍니다.
Address changes
The Department of Homeland Security requires all visitors to the U.S. to provide updated addresses to SEVIS. You must be sure that your “mailing address” and “permanent address” are correct. The mailing address must be the location in the United States where you live. It cannot be a post office box. The permanent address is an address outside the U.S. As long as you maintain F-1 status your permanent address cannot be in the United States.
